The 2023 American Whiskey Calendar.
2023 is the first calendar fully curated and procured solo. Each of the 24 participants contributed $200 providing a healthy collective budget of over $85 per bottle, plus the necessary supplies to make it all happen (including the reusable custom boxes featured above). This will give us 24 unique American whiskeys in 2-ounce portions over December.
This year's calendar comprises 24 unique brands, distilled in 5 states, produced in 3 more, and purchased in 5 distinct states. The average proof point is 109 with an average aging period of 8 years. There are single barrels, blends, and finished bottles. Bourbons and ryes galore.
10 of the 12 participants from 2022 are returning. 14 new brave souls have embarked on the journey. Old friends, new friends, but all curious adventurers looking to improve their palette and have a good time.
