Day 23
Yellowstone
2024 Limited Edition Bourbon
Style: Blend of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished in Cognac and Brandy Casks
Mashbills: Undiscloded bourbon
Aged: Blend of 7 and 17-year barrels
Proof: 101
Cost: $109.99
Why I chose it: On spring break this year we visited family in St. Augustine, FL. On a date night, Kate and I enjoyed a meal at the Prohibition Kitchen, which was a delightful getaway from the kids. After taking a recommendation from the bartender, I ordered a pour of their 2018 Yellowstone LE. It was an expensive decision that turned out for the best. I thought it was great. Additionally, I love including harder-to-get, limited editions as many will unlikely have had them. Who doesn't love a blend of 7 and 17-year Kentucky bourbon?! Is this year's return to a double finish (the first time since 2015) too much or just right?
