Why I chose it: Old Forester is a familiar Kentucky bourbon that is easy to connect with. Old Forester manipulates the conditions inside of their rickhouses to get improved results faster than those that let nature take over. Sometimes these barrels are fantastic and sometimes just average but they are always a high-proof adventure. These expressions hit the market in 2020, Old Forester's 150th year of existence. This bottle was a "Wisconsin Barrel" selection from this year. No idea who in Wisconsin got to be on that selection committee but we'll trust they picked a good barrel.
