Why I chose it: On this day in 2023, I settled for Buffalo Trace's (BT) oft-forgotten child, Hancock's Reserve. I say 'settled', because I thought it would be more fun to include the often sought-after, rarely blind-tasted Blanton's from the same Buffalo Trace Mashbill #2. Blanton's are BT barrels of the Mashbill #2 stored in the famous Warehouse H and then watered down to a very approachable 93 proof at bottling. I bought my first one in 2015. My second one was in 2022, and I literally "won the lottery" (at Jewel) for #3. You are enjoying bottles #2 and #3. Been teaching my boys it's better to give than to receive...
