Why I chose it: Welcome to H2! Today is the 13th and I thought it would be nice to have a 13-year bourbon after yesterday's 12-year rye. I've had Baker's 7-year bourbon and really enjoyed that. Hoping this will exude even more age and elegance. We were lucky enough to see 3 remaining bottles on the shelf at the Beam gift shop and picked up these 2 (and day 5's bottles). Although I am excited about all the days of the calendar, this is one of the bottles that brought significant anticipation. I generally prefer a cask-strength bourbon, but I can appreciate a uniform number in the upper 100's. 107 is within my sweet spot and should be enjoyable to the proof hounds and those beginning their whiskey journey.
