Why I chose it: Peerless, particularly their rye, has always been high on my list. Due to their premium level pricing, it often goes overlooked, but is a perfect treat in such an advent calendar. The deep caramel color comes from the secondary aging in another new oak barrel. I believe the first whiskey I ever tasted in Kentucky in 2018 was an early iteration of this product and it made me a believer from the start. I haven't had a bottle since, but was excited to find these for 2024.
