Why I chose it: On my first KY whiskey trail trip in 2022, we stopped at Lux Row for their epic rickhouse reveal tour (pictured above). In the giftshop, I tasted their 12-year double barrel Bourbon. Fortunately, I decided to spring for the tasty pour because it was a top tasting of the entire trip. Unfortunately, they had run out of the bottle for sale and I couldn't get my hands on one. As I returned to KY in 2024, I knew I wanted to try to get this into the calendar for all to enjoy. This bourbon was acquired from another KY distiller as it's older than their 2018 open date. Here's hoping 2024's was as delightful as 2022!
