Product Recommendations

The following products are things that I have used repeatedly over the years and receive my stamp of approval for quality, value, and delight.

Advent bottles and labels

What's to love: Trying 24 different bottles of Whiskey over December is a delight and these components make it easy and feel premium. My recommendation is to buy them before you need them because product availability and shipping can be delayed the later you go in October and November.

Glencarin 6-Pack

What's to love: Glassware makes a difference and the Glencarin has become the standard for sipping whiskey. By design, the glass shapes the aromas directly to your nose and the balance of the shape provides a natural indicator of a perfect pour when it reaches the widest point. The 6-pack is great so that you can have a hanful of guests or do some A-B tasting with a couple of others. Lastly, this box set is a nice storage vehicle to move your glasses around and keep them dust free if you lack cabinet space.

Glencarin cleaning brush

What's to love: My longest fingers with a paper on them are about 1-2mm too short to give the bottom of a glencarin glass a scrumb after it has been sitting out overnight and the caramel brown residue from last nights pour has dried to the bottom of the glass. This tool solved that problem and allows me to keep my glasses sparkling clean.

Aldi's Moser Roth Chocolates, specifically the 4.4 oz 5 packs

What's to love: 5 individually wrapped servings are the perfect portion for any time consumption. The variety of variants will satisfy any palette. My favorites are Dark Chocolate Sea Salt and Dark Sea Salt Caramel. Pairs great with a dram of Bourbon or Rye.
