Why I chose it: One of my favorite bottles of 2024 was a Bardstown single-barrel origin bourbon at cask strength selected by Woodmans. I hunted everywhere I could to find it for last year's calendar (including their distillery and new downtown Louisville tasting room), but to no avail. Earlier this year, I was at a fundraiser with Common Good Cocktail House. I tried this bottle and was so happy Bardstown finally released more cask-strength versions of my favorite shelf bottle into IL. I think these glass bottles are high quality, the mashbill combination is up my alley, and this bottle keeps me coming back for more. I'm very excited to see this distillate start hitting 7, 8, and 9 years. Good things to come!
