The 2024 American Whiskey Calendar.

2024 marked the third year and the second consecutive advent calendar entirely curated and managed solo. This exclusive event was capped at 24 participants, each contributing an inflation-free $200. Transitioning to reusable supplies in 2023 meant nearly all of the 2024 funding were dedicated to the contents of the bottles, elevating the average bottle expenditure into the $90s. Participants savored 24 unique American whiskeys in 2-ounce servings from December 1st to 24th.

The 2024 calendar introduced a unique brand daily, featuring annual releases, distiller picks from a Louisville trip, new market entries, and a broader price range. Notably, five bottles boast an MSRP at or exceeding $125, a significant jump from last year's offering. The average proof this year is 107.4, with one spirit reaching an impressive 133.34 proof! As is tradition, we kept it to just American-made whiskies. With so many great bourbons and ryes to choose from, we opt to exclude anything else; #America!
